Nreal Headset How to Upgrade OTA

This article describes the first and second types of upgrades for the computing unit.

If the consumers encounter problems with the match of the computing unit and glasses, we suggest that they can initialize the computing unit. We attached the method to restore factory settings at the bottom of this article.

Method One (Version 257 or before Version 257) – Recommended!!!

1. Please update the app first;

2. Install the following apk ota.apk, let the computing unit connect to the Internet, click the icon to update (it may have 2 icons, pls click both), then wait for 30 seconds, and the interface will pop up the upgrade prompt, choose yes and upgrade it;

3. After the upgrade, you will see the REBOOT interface, and please click REBOOT to restart.

Method Two (Version 379)

1. Please install these two apk

–ARLauncher_v0.2.2.apk(https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1I-E3HqoGgTSS73lKhYlh8knZKdkjHRfp)

You can try one of the following two install ways:

1.1 If you know how to use adb, you can use adb installation, that is,

adb install -r NrealLightUpdate_v0.2.2.apk

adb install -r ARLauncher_v0.2.2.apk

1.2 Install the above APK (scrcpy drag-and-drop to install)

2. Plug in your glasses to prompt upgrade, proceed to upgrade and restart

How to restore factory settings for the computing unit?

1. Please prepare PC Windows system
2. Install the scrcpy tool -scrpy-win64-v1.12.1.zip (see attached files)
3. Connect the computing unit to PC by using Type -C cable, and then PC can recognize the computing unit (if not, try to install the driver genius).
4. Open scrcpy, proceed the operation of restore factory settings

Setting —- System — Reset Options — Clear all data (restore factory settings)
